Does DeWitt Jr. have access to the computer? It is a well-known fact that all
little children are computer geniuses :)
Seriously though, what about the newsreader testing? That was quite recently
IIRC. Did you uninstall Agent? Perhaps a connection there? Spontaneous bugs do
not exist, but the cause might be something seemingly minor...
Just an example: some time ago my Netscape browser suddenly stopped browsing.
Simply wouldn't connect to any server. But news & mail worked OK. To my
knowledge, I had done nothing to provoke such a weird phenomenon. A longish
period of IE ensued. Then, completely by accident, I discovered the cause. I had
been using GetRight (a download manager), but uninstalled it. Appears this
version of GetRight had a bug that, upon uninstalling, caused it to cripple NS.
The connection never occurred to me, tho...
